Meet Our Wellness Educators

The Concord Cooperative Market is proud to introduce you to our Wellness Educators. Several of the Concord-area’s top holistic practitioners have joined this group to educate YOU, our members and the Concord community. In New Hampshire we are blessed with some of the most diverse and qualified holistic practitioners in the country. While the Co-op believes that good health starts with good food, better health branches beyond that. We are fortunate to have these skilled educators who volunteer their time to educate us in holistic self-care. These practitioners specialize in naturopathy, homeopathy, bodywork, yoga, nutrition, chiropractic care, acupuncture, herbalism, and holistic veterinary medicine. The Wellness Educators work to provide you with a variety of free classes and newsletter articles.

 

Co-op Health & Wellness Coordinator, Health & Fitness Educator

Audrey Burghard came to the Co-op in 2011 with vast experience and multiple certifications in health and wellness. She has taught group classes in strength training, aerobic fitness, indoor cycling, pilates, and yoga since 2001. She is also a Personal Trainer. Audrey is a certified Nutrition Manager and also teaches lifestyle change. She previously worked as the Health Outreach Coordinator at the Concord Hospital Center for Health Promotion assisting local businesses in developing wellness programs for employees as well as coordinating and facilitating the Capital Area Wellness Coalition. Audrey is a role model for our community because she has maintained a healthy, active lifestyle for many years. She shares her enthusiasm for healthy foods, exercise, and mental well being through her many talents professionally and personally.

Holistic Veterinarian

Dr. Katherine Evans, D.V.M., C.V.A., graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. She received her IVAS certification in acupuncture in 1994 and founded the Holistic Veterinary Center in Concord, NH in 1998. The Holistic Veterinary Center utilizes acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and nutritional therapies along with homeopathy to treat dogs and cats. Herbalist

Maria Noël Groves, Clinical Herbalist, runs a small clinic and education center Wintergreen Botanicals, in Allenstown, NH. She completed Michael Moore’s residency program at the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine, as well as beginner and advanced herbal programs at Rosemary Gladstar's Sage Mountain. Maria uses western herbalism with a variety of health conditions including stress, immune depletion, chronic pain, and digestive upset. Homeopathic Veterinarian

Dr. Wendy Jensen, D.V.M., has been practicing 100 percent homeopathy since 1992. She graduated from the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987, before being certified by the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy (AVH) in 1994. Dr. Jensen served as Executive Editor for the AVH's Journal for 12 years. She lectures extensively and has taught for the Professional Course in Veterinary Homeopathy. Acupuncturist

Quentin Lauradunn, L. Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist and co-founder of Acupuncture Center of Concord. He has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine for the past five years. After receiving his four-year acupuncture training, Quentin moved with his family to Concord where his practice focuses on musculoskeletal issues and the treatment of pain. Quentin is an avid rock and ice climber, and he enjoys working with athletes to enhance performance and recovery.

 

Yoga Teacher

Jim Readey is a Kripalu-certified Yoga Teacher, Holistic Health Instructor, and Yoga Teacher Mentor. He is also a certified iRest® yoga nidra teacher and has been trained in Thai Yoga. He runs The Yoga Center in Concord, NH, where he has been teaching yoga for 20 years. Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Laura Riley Jones, N.D., earned a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine with Honors from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with Honors from the University of New Hampshire. Her Naturopathic medical practice, Whole Health Concord, is located in Concord, NH. Dr. Jones is a licensed primary care Naturopathic Doctor. She treats patients of all ages with a variety of health concerns. Her areas of greatest interest are women’s health as well as autoimmune diseases, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and metabolic disorders. Dr. Jacqueline S. Rho, N.D., is a primary care naturopathic doctor. She believes in the importance of nutrition and the holistic approach to health care. She has pursued her education in advancing her knowledge and understanding in naturopathic, homeopathic, and oriental medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA, having a focus in biochemistry and inorganic chemistry. Dr. Tobi Sheiker, D.C., moved to New Hampshire from Wilmington, DE, where she had a chiropractic office for almost three years. She has been practicing in Concord since January 2004. She is the only chiropractor in the area to use the Torque Release Technique, which uses a low-force adjusting tool to gently straighten the spine without any popping, twisting, or cracking. Hilary Warner, M.P.H., R.D., L.D. is a Registered, Licensed Dietitian and Wellness Coach at Nutrition Works! LLC. She has a degree in nutrition from UVM and public health from UCLA. Jennifer Woolf, L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist and co-founder of Concord Community Acupuncture, a low-cost, sliding scale acupuncture clinic. She serves on the board of directors of the New Hampshire Acupuncture and Asian Medicine Association, and is currently a member of Community Acupuncture Network. Jennifer is a graduate of Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
