Co-op in the Community
Both of our Co-ops are active members in both national and local organizations. We are part of the National Cooperative Grocer Association, this allows us to bring our customers the best selection at the lowest prices. Cooperative Grocers Information Network is another national organization the Co-op participates in. CGIN’s goal is “To strengthen all retail food cooperatives by creating community and promoting the sharing and development of resources among members”.
Locally we are involved with Main Street Concord, the New London and Concord Chambers of Commerce, and were founding members of Green Concord, an organization which promotes eco-friendly shopping in and around Concord.
To better reach our community and make healthy food more attainable, in 2011 the Co-op launched a FLOWER Membership for low-income individuals and families as well as a revamped SENIOR program. Click here for details.
